Sakhipur Police Station has arrested two people for the recovery of Liza Akhter (13) body in Sakhipure of Bhedarganj upazila of Shariatpur.
The arrestees were identified as Leja's uncle Farid Sheikh (30) and cousin Zakir Sheikh (24).
Sakhipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge AKM Manjurul Haq Akand said that the father of Liza filed a case against Farid and Zakir for the incident. According to the case, Farid was arrested on Sunday afternoon and on Monday morning arrested Zakir from Sardar Kandi of Sakhipur Police Station. Their interrogation continued.
It is to be noted that on July 15, after school holidays on the afternoon of July 15, Liza went out on the street in front of the house with bicycle. After the evening, his family did not return home after looking for his family. Later, a GPO was made in Sakhipur Police Station.
Locals saw the body of Leja in a jute pit of Shaheelkandi village of Sakhipur Union at around 11:30 am on Saturday. Police recovered the body of Liza when she was informed by Sakhipur police station. Later, the body was sent to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
But Shariatpur Sadar Hospital's doctor Sabrina Khan and Ehsanul Haque did not have any serious organs with kidneys, lungs, uterus, liver for chemical examination in the body of Liza while undergoing the post mortem. In order to know what happened to Liza, the physician sent a medical team to DNA to Dhaka Medical College.
